Finished concrete patio with decorative border, cedar pergola and black aluminum railing
Patios & Concrete

Outdoor rooms built from the ground up.

Concrete and paver patios, walkways, pads and replacement flatwork with a compacted base, deliberate drainage and a finish made for real backyard use.

Non-Structural Flatwork

The useful concrete around your home.

Our concrete scope is residential, non-structural flatwork. We build patios, paths, pads and extensions—not foundations, load-bearing slabs, structural walls or engineered concrete.

Concrete patios

Broom-finished, decorative and stamped surfaces with planned joints, clean edges and practical furniture zones.

Paver patios & borders

Interlocking paver fields, contrasting borders and repairable surfaces set on a compacted aggregate base.

Walkways, pads & extensions

Paths, grill pads, equipment pads, landings and useful additions to existing outdoor spaces.

Removal, grading & drainage

Failed flatwork removed, base rebuilt and elevations set to move water away from the house.

Broom-finished concrete patio and walkway with paver borders
Built below the finish

Base, slope, joints, cure.

The finish is only as good as what sits underneath it. We plan excavation, compact the aggregate base, move water away from the house, place joints deliberately and protect the cure.

  • Utilities located before excavation
  • Positive drainage away from structures
  • Reinforcement matched to the application
  • Control joints planned before placement
  • Clear cure and use instructions

Patio and concrete questions

What does a new patio cost in Central Illinois?
Most installed patios run about $14–$34 per square foot. Broom-finished concrete is usually the most economical; decorative finishes, difficult access, demolition, paver borders and full paver fields increase the price. We provide a written site-specific quote.
What does non-structural concrete mean?
It means residential flatwork such as patios, walkways, small pads, extensions and replacement slabs. We do not offer foundations, structural walls, engineered load-bearing slabs or concrete intended to support a building.
Do you install stamped or colored concrete?
Yes. We offer decorative finishes and borders where they suit the project. We review color and pattern samples, sealer expectations and maintenance before installation.
Can you replace an old cracked patio?
Yes. We can remove failed flatwork, inspect the base and drainage, and install a properly prepared replacement rather than covering the problem.
How long before I can use a new concrete patio?
Initial foot traffic and full furniture use have different cure windows. Weather and the concrete mix matter, so we give you project-specific instructions after placement.
Do patios need railings?
Most ground-level patios do not. Where a patio, landing or steps create a fall hazard, we can install the appropriate black aluminum or other matching rail while preserving a clear walking path.
